In the field of art, there have been technique for deploying accumulated traces, called patination. In my research, I adopt the concept of patina and propose Digital Patination, a design technique which induces accumulation of traces for making emotionally enduring digital artifacts. For exploring the digital patination, my research consist of several qualitative studies and case developments. [Please click images to look details].
